The PVC material has superior moisture resistance ensuring even the wettest areas can benefit from installing premium PVC decking. Great for pools and hot tubs.

PVC Decking has a dense PVC core which is encased in ASA (acrylic-styrene-acrylonitrile), the most weather-resistant resin currently available on the market (100% UV resistant).

What screws and drill should I use for the installation?

Standard power drills can be used when installing these PVC Decking Boards. A standard Phillips screwdriver bit PH2 x 50mm should be used when working with Speeddekz 65mm Woodscrews and Speeddekz 50mm Screws. These are available on our website under screws and accessories.

Do I need to buy adhesive for these PVC decking boards?

We recommend using Sumogrip adhesive to secure the fascia boards.

When using the Sumogrip adhesive, do not allow the adhesive to get on the decking boards, as this can damage the finish of the deck!

What base should I use under the decking?

Generally, there are 2 main options. Firstly, you can use a concrete base. When doing this, a 100mm thick concrete base is recommended, with a slight slope for drainage to occur. The optimum slope should be around 5mm for every metre.

Secondly, you can use a grass or soil base. Here, you should remove the turf/soil until the ground is completely even and remove any debris/rocks from the area. Cover the area of your site with a layer of weed control fabric, to prevent any weed re-growth from coming up under your decking.

If you need to overlap the weed mat, ensure you do this with enough fabric to prevent any gaps.

How many square meters does each board cover?

Each decking board will cover an area of 0.72m2.

How many screws do I need across the width of the board?

Two screws are recommended (with even spacing).

What screws do I need to fix the fascia boards?

Use 50mm Speeddekz Screws to fix the ends of your fascia board to the joist behind.
