3m Aluminium Perforated Closure

This is is essential for your Fibre Cement Wall Cladding project. These Perforated Closures are manufactured using corrosion-resistant, durable, aluminium material for superior strength and long-lasting protection. Simply attach the Closures to the base of the Battens before installing the first Wall Cladding Board. Perforated Closures should also be fixed above any windows and doors where Fibre Cement Wall Cladding will be fitted.

The closures are designed to be installed at the base of the project. The ventilation gaps within the Closure, paired with the 38mm space between the Battens and the Boards, ensure your building has adequate airflow, preventing any moisture build-up.

Please note it is recommended to leave a gap of 10mm between the Perforated Closure and the base of the Cladding installation to ensure a necessary gap between the bottom of the first Wall Cladding Board and the ground for airflow. You will also need to ensure the Perforated Closure is perfectly level before fixing to the wall, as the Cladco Fibre Cement Wall Cladding Starter Step will be fixed to the Perforated Closure. If your Closure is not fitted parallel, you may be at risk of having an unlevel Fibre Cement Wall Cladding installation.
